Rhythm and Blues is a continuation of my interest into Synaesthesia as well as my intrigue in modular building blocks. I have always been intrigued how a solitary mass produced unit can evoke lifelike qualities when added to together in multiples. Rhythm and Blues, inspired by the Jazz movement, presents numerous modular components as series of serpentine illuminated suspended forms. When illuminated the piece subtle shifts and changes its colour….a simple visualisation of a musical concept.
