Arrow Spring

Mixed media (brushed stainless steel, optical fibre, LED light source)

While bike-riding and thinking about the meandering pathway through my installation CDSea, I realised there was a connection between the spiritual rivers described in two of my favourite books: Kim by Rudyard Kipling, and Siddhartha by Herman Hesse. Arrow Spring’s name is in part taken from the River Arrow in Kim. A winding stream of gentle light, Arrow Spring is made up of individual Fireflies creating flickering points of light by repeating and massing the individual illuminated objects.
