The Islamic Arts Festival Sharjah opening on 16 December 2015 will feature work by Bruce Munro. First Impression, is a digital projection created as part of Munro’s Light and Language series an representing Munro’s first experience of Sharjah and his continued exploration into use of Morse codes and messaging systems. This will be Munro’s first public exhibition in the Emirates state.
The exhibition held annually at the Sharjah Art Museum reinforces Sharjah’s status as a world cultural center. As the UNESCO ‘Islamic Cultural capital of the Arab World 2015, the Emirate state has become a hot spot for presenting Contemporary Arts across the region
The exhibition includes works from selected artists across the world will be opened on the 16th December by His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah.
