Mixed media (brass, optical fibre, steel, LED light source)
Bell Chandelier was inspired by the spiral of the Queen Charlotte staircase and rotunda in the mansion at Cheekwood in Nashville, Tennessee. The 500 cascading optic fibres end in miniature conical brass bell shades, the use of brass referencing the details of the period furniture and luminaires within the main stairwell. I wanted to make the most of the height and create a piece that linked all the elements of the space together.
