Rhadamanthine Club continues my interest in using hay bales as projection surfaces, previously used in Moon Harvest, and conveys the impression of enormous blinking owls’ eyes and a memory of the hoot of Narnian owls from C. S. Lewis’s The Silver Chair. The word ‘rhadamanthine’, meaning strictly and uncompromisingly just, and which I learnt at a schoolboys’ poetry club, I see as an apt description of a character trait of owls.
