Dark Star is a variation on a theme that was inspired by the 1970s sci-fi film Dark Star, in which a beach ball and a pair of rubber gloves morph into an alien. Each iteration of this concept features a spherical core, with varying numbers of radiating branches illuminated by optical fibre, and in Dark Star I also celebrate the beauty and artistry of the iconic Darth Vader PEZ dispensers.
