Field of Light: Avenue of Honour by Bruce Munro

Invited by Perth based public art organisation FORM and the City of Albany to create a work of art at the Avenue of Honour, Munro will be presenting Field of Light.

The installation, opening in early October 2018 is in reference to the 100 year anniversary of the end of the First World War and will commemorate the lives and memory of the Anzac’s who fought in the war. Field of Light will gently illuminate the Avenue of Honour in yellows and golds, the colours of the national flowers of the Anzac nations the Wattle and Kowhai.

The exhibition which will be in place until the end of April 2019, is delivered together by FORM with The City of Albany and supported by the State Government through Tourism Western Australia and Lotterywest.

The installation on the Avenue of Honour, Albany will be one of only two Field of Light exhibitions that can be seen in Australia, the other being at Uluru, Northern Territory.
